Dr. Chen received her PhD degree from English and Linguistics Programme, University of Otago, New Zealand. She was awarded both University of Otago PhD scholarship and China–New Zealand Governmental Scholarship (RMB 650,000). She obtained her MA and BA degrees at Shenzhen University and was honored as Outstanding Graduate (SZU) and Outstanding Postgraduate Student (Guangdong).
Dr. Chen has teaching experience in China as well as in New Zealand. Her teaching areas are English competences, Cross-cultural communication, British and American Literature, English-speaking societies and cultures.
Dr. Chen’s research interest is in globalization, comparative literature and world literature. She currently has two important journal publications and two international conference presentations.
