Dr. Gavin Wu received his MA and PhD degrees from the Department of English, City University of Hong Kong. He has been teaching in Mainland Chinese and Hong Kong universities since 2015. He currently serves on the committee of PacCALL International Association and organizes GLoCALL International Conferences. He has reviewed manuscripts for SSCI and Scopus/ESCI journals and reviewed abstracts for international conferences.

Gavin has published widely in international journals, includingComputer Assisted Language Learning (SSCI, IF=2.642),Language in Society (SSCI, IF=2.040),Journal of Education for Teaching (SSCI, IF=1.483),TESOL Journal,TESL-EJ,RELC Journal,CALL-EJ, and The Journal of AsiaTEFL.

He received scholarships and awards from different international associations, including City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Association for Applied Linguistics, GLoCALL International Conference, AFS Germany, and his paper (with D. Zhang) received the Best Paper Award from The 18th World Conference on Mobile and Contextual Learning at TU Delft, the Netherlands. Lately, he was invited by the National University of Malaysia (UKM) as a featured speaker at the 2nd technology-enhanced language learning symposium.
